Description
Big Fish Eat Little Fish is an engraving by Pieter van der Heyden, made in 1557 after a drawing by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. Its Latin inscription is a proverb: small fish are food for the big. Published in Antwerp, the print worked as a satire on how the powerful consume the weak, and it became one of the best known prints after Bruegel. This women's cotton tee carries the print across the back.
