Description
The Legend of the Briar Rose is Edward Burne-Jones's retelling of Sleeping Beauty, painted in four large panels between about 1885 and 1890. The Rose Bower is the final scene, where the princess and her court sleep on until the prince arrives. Burne-Jones, a follower of Rossetti and close friend of William Morris, was a leading figure of the second wave of Pre-Raphaelite painting. This poster is printed from a black-and-white print of the work.
