Description
Farnese Hercules is an engraving by Hendrick Goltzius (1558–1617), the Dutch master of the burin, made in the early 1590s after his journey to Italy. It records the Farnese Hercules, the colossal Roman marble statue in Rome that was among the most studied sculptures of the Renaissance and Baroque. Goltzius chose to draw the figure from behind and titled the print Hercules Victor. This women's cotton tee carries the print across the back.
