Description
Pierre-Auguste Renoir painted Madame Georges Charpentier and Her Children in 1878, a commission from the Paris publisher Georges Charpentier, whose wife hosted a leading literary and artistic salon. It shows her with her son Paul and daughter Georgette, who sits on the family dog. The painting was shown at the 1879 Paris Salon, where it helped establish Renoir's reputation as a portraitist, and it is now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. This unisex hoodie carries the print on the front.
