Free shipping on orders over $65
Description
John William Waterhouse painted Miranda, from Shakespeare's The Tempest, twice in 1916, the last year of his life. It was a return to a Shakespeare heroine he had first painted in 1875. Both late versions show the moment of the shipwreck that Prospero conjures at the start of the play. Printed twice around the mug.
