Description
Red Dragonfly and Locust is a page from the Picture Book of Crawling Creatures by Kitagawa Utamaro, published in Edo in 1788. The book paired Utamaro's studies of insects, plants and small animals with comic poems by members of a poetry circle, and it helped establish him before he turned to the portraits of women for which he is best known. This women's cotton tee carries the print across the front.
