Saint Anthony Tormented by Demons is an engraving by Martin Schongauer, made in Colmar around 1470–75. Schongauer was the most admired German printmaker of his generation, and this print is among his best known. It is said to have deeply impressed the young Michelangelo, who made a painted copy of it as a boy. The subject comes from the legend of Saint Anthony the Great, the third-century hermit who was said to be assaulted by demons in the desert. This women's cotton tee carries the print across the back.
