Raphael painted The School of Athens between 1509 and 1511 as a fresco in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican, on commission from Pope Julius II. Plato and Aristotle stand at the center of an assembly of ancient philosophers and scientists, and the face of Plato is commonly said to be modeled on Leonardo da Vinci. It is one of the defining works of the High Renaissance. This unisex hoodie carries the print on the front.
