Ulysses and the Sirens Mug

Description
John William Waterhouse painted Ulysses and the Sirens in 1891, and it is in the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne. The subject comes from Homer's Odyssey, in which Odysseus has himself tied to the mast so that he can hear the Sirens' song without steering his ship onto the rocks. Waterhouse follows ancient Greek art in showing the Sirens as birds with women's heads. Printed twice around the mug.
