Johannes Vermeer painted Young Woman with a Water Pitcher around 1662, in the Dutch city of Delft. It is one of only about three dozen paintings firmly attributed to Vermeer, and it was among the first of his works to enter an American collection, given to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1889. The quiet, light-filled domestic scene is typical of his mature style. This unisex hoodie carries the print on the front.
