The Round Tower, from Carceri d'invenzione (Imaginary Prisons) is an etching by Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720–1778). The Carceri series of vast, impossible prison interiors was first issued around 1749–50 and dramatically reworked in 1761, and it became one of the most influential sets of prints in European art. Its labyrinthine architecture inspired Romantic writers, Surrealists and set designers alike. This women's cotton tee carries the print across the back.
