The Soul of the Rose Mug

Description
John William Waterhouse painted The Soul of the Rose in 1908. Its title is thought to come from a line in Tennyson's poem Maud, published in 1855: and the soul of the rose went into my blood. Waterhouse uses the flower as a symbol of love and longing and does not illustrate the poem directly. Printed twice around the mug.
