Description
Under the Wave off Kanagawa, known as The Great Wave, is a color woodblock print by Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849), made around 1830–32 as the first of his series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji. It became one of the most reproduced images in the world and helped spark the European craze for Japanese art. The deep blue owes much to Prussian blue, a pigment newly imported to Japan. This women's cotton tee carries the print across the back.
