Vajrabhairava Mandala Wall Tapestry
Free shipping on orders over $65
Description
Vajrabhairava is a fierce form of Manjushri, the Buddhist bodhisattva of wisdom, and is known as the conqueror of death. The original is a silk tapestry (kesi) woven in China around 1330-32, when the Mongol rulers of the Yuan dynasty were patrons of Tibetan Buddhism. Weaving a mandala instead of painting it was a costly choice, reserved for important commissions.
Custom printed and made to order.
